FIREWORKS ON THE 2ND, 3RD AND GRAND FANALLEY ON THE 4TH

Here is Doug and Wayne having special bonding time. Hailey Chelsey and Cassidy, all looking beautiful and then looking silly, that is teenagers for you. Have to keep busy till time for fireworks so we worked on a puzzle. This one we had done before but it was still fun.
on the second and third on July we set off fire works in front of Doug and Tami's house. Both nights neighbors came over to enjoy the fire works with us.

The 4Th of July finally arrived and we were invited to the Miracle's for a BBQ and fireworks. Who could pass up a deal like that? The kid had fun setting off stink bombs, bumble bees, and all kinds of other fire works that stayed on the ground. When dark time arrived there were people on there roof to have an overview of the fun. One again we had a successful 4Th of July.

GOD BLESS AMERICA...........B

TRACE WHAT A GARDNER

Our fist two days was spent in front of the Morris's Home. The very first thing I noticed now nice Tami's flower garden looked in the front yard. I grabbed my camera and snapped these pictures, it crossed my mind that Tami had done an exceptional job this year. Happened to comment to Tami about her garden and that is when I found out that it was all Trace's Handy work. Great Job Trace.

We are now parked at Paradise Point, got here yesterday afternoon, do to all the trees Wayne had to put up his satellite dish, he is so out of practice it took him a while. Yesterday we did not do much, gas up vehicles so we will be ready to go to Coos Bay. Wayne bought the kids some fireworks and they are able to set off some of them now.....wonder how many more trips the kids will talk him into????

It is nice and sunny out so had better get dressed and start our day................B

WE HAVE ARRIVED

We are parked in front of Tami and Doug's house for the next couple days. It rained, or should we had heavy mist most of the way here, a typical welcome to WA. Padro and Olie were the only ones home when we got here. This was the first time we have seen Padro (white one) he joined the family last year after we went back to CA. It is going to be fun with two little ones at Coos Bay.....I am sure I will be visited every night so they can run loose up and down the MH.

Here is Doug checking out the New TOY, he tired to not be impressed. Grandpa and Trace watching Doug before he went around the block. Cassidy is now taller than I am, she has grown so much since last year.

Checked out a new BBQ place "Goldies" not bad, Wayne liked there sauce. Wayne had the Baby Back sandwitch, and I had the Pulled Pork sandwitch, with no bread of course. I am sure we will give it another try, might just have to take Tami, Doug and the Kids sometime.

We are all settled in for the nigth so it is time to sit back and relax....... B

ROGUE RIVER STATE PARK OREGON

We are in space B-23 if any one wants to come and visit come on, but make it quick since we will only be here overnight. We hit the freeway at 8:15 am and checked in at 1:11 pm. After getting everything set up I took a walk around the loop, even walked down to the river to a couple of pictures. Found a berry bush I think it is a blackberry only blooms for now. Oregon state parks are always so nice, not many people here, but it is Monday. Will head on down the road in the morning, no rush whenever the spirit moves us. Will be in front of Doug's house on Tuesday and on to Paradise Point WA on Wednesday. It is sunny but understand we could have rain by Wednesday, will be a nice welcome to Washington.

ALL STARS

Today was Bryce's first All Stars tournament and the game today was a rough one on them, needless to say they did not win. Bryce pitched for a while till he got his arm hit with a ball, this is the 3rd time this year. His poor arm is all skinned up, my poor boy.

Jace and his friends were there playing with there iPod's in the shade. Rhonda was busy taking pictures, she takes after her Mother but she has a much better camera and so her pictures are better.....go Rhonda.

This was our last trip to Woodland Ca till mid August, when we get back from up North. It was a nice relaxing day, got home around 5ish, of course we hit the casino on our way home, had to get our free gas monies.

Fun and relaxing day..... more when we get to WA. B

GRADUATION TIME

Sunday I jumped in the car and headed for Woodland. It was time for a Grand kids fix. As always they had several things to do so I just tagged along and enjoyed the day. First off Jon and Karla's youngest daughter graduated from high school. Her party was a BBQ for family and friends. Tri-tips and chicken was the main course which was yummy, nice tossed green salad, fruit salad, and a macaroni salad rounded out the rest of the meal. Lot of sweets but I did not even look at them since I can not have any. The cake pops Rhonda made looked wonderful, I even had to carry them to the car. Now was that fair? I think I just grazed most of the time we were at the party. I made sure I visited the cooks and of course I got a sample. We had to leave the party early since Jace has a band concert.
The concert was in Davis, there was 4 bands that played, Jace's band was the 2ND one up. I was able to go to his 2ND practice and what a difference a few weeks make. They played 3 songs and did very well. It was hard to get pictures since I was several row back from the stage. I was also visiting with Jace's Nana, but not while Jace was playing of course.

Before I headed home we had dinner at Vince's, good Mexican fool one of the Pearson's favorite places.
On the way home I managed to snag 5 gas receipts so I have a buffer for when we do not need gas. Only 16 more days with the gas promotion. My little gambling fund it getting fat.....YEAH.

All for now......B

THEN AND NOW

What a difference a few years make, found some of my old blogs from 2005, Jace was playing Tball. How cute is that? The now pictures are from this year, Jace coming home from a Leadership week end. Jace at one of my favorite restaurants in Davis Mermaids. Hey! Jace you and Mom had a lunch date without me.
Bryce his first year playing Tball, can not believe how little he was when he started. While playing he always had a smile on his face. Of course here is Bryce today and he is quite the baseball player. He practices before practice and after practice.....needless to say he love the game.

Some how I have ended up with 3 blogs, two different addresses, ran across my Yahoo blog and these are some of the pictures, also found some Hawaii blogs I knew I had posted but could not find. Today I tried to go back to the Yahoo blog and no way......new computer and it is also possest.

Another day gone and Wayne is getting a little stronger each day. Hit the casino and spent some of our free money. Does not take much to keep us Old Folks happy.

ANOTHER UKIE YUCKIE DAY

Today is another cold day in Corning CA. Getting tired of this cold weather and so I checked the forecast for the rest of the week and was pleasantly surprised. Today is cloudy and with low 54 and a high of 67.
Tomorrow it is suppose to be high 81 low 60, Wed 84-60, Thur 88-61 and Fri 87-67. I will believe it when I see it. Just telling Wayne about Thursday getting to 88 made him complain about the heat and it is not even here yet. You know the old saying if you do not have anything to talk about you can talk about the weather.
Since Wayne's surgery on May 18 he has been on liquid diet. Needless to say he is so hungry. He is on what they call a clear liquid diet but he can have pudding soooo I suggested milkshake, so far he has not made a milkshake but he has all the stuff to make one. I feel bad eating in front of him but not bad enough to not eat!

Yesterday we made a trip out to the casino and played some of our free money. Cashed in $22. think we played $50 in two different machines. By the time we got to the casino the rib cook off was all done, which was a good thing for Wayne. Today I am not even going to the casino.....will wait till tomorrow when it is warmer.

That is all for today hope something happens tomorrow so I will have something to write about. B

RAIN AND COLD WOULD NOT KEEP

Wayne from going to the casino and car show. First we had to spend some of my "saved" gas money from my club card. We used $30, played for about a half hour is we were lucky. Oh well can not really complain. This week end is the Rib Cook off and Car show at Rolling Hills, we were one of the few checking out the cars.
Rhonda skip over this collage and go to the next. Found this paint job quite interesting, not something I would want. A lot of different cars at this show.
The Mini cars are interesting. Mini Fire Department, Mom is taking a picture here, and the owner of the car set off the siren, hope she got a picture of the boys reaction to the siren. Morris Cooper is a Morris Taxi. Then there is your Rover Mini K9 unit and the license Mini Fuz. There are at least 3 more Mini's but these were the best.
Here are some of my favorites, the surfer "Woodie" ask them if they ever took it to Hawaii, they told me no but they have found parts for there car while visiting the Islands. There is a purple and white Chevy that I should have had in high school since our colors were purple and white. It needs to be a little more purple tho. It was nice to see a different variety of classic cars.

As you can tell it is still raining here in Corning, Doug and Tami are enjoying Sand Lake this week end and Tami said it was suppose to be in the 80's this week end. Now what is wrong with this picture, this is CA, it is June and it is raining and cold.

WAYNE'S HOME

This morning Judy and I treated ourselves to breakfast at Hometown Cafe, good food and sassy waitress. After breakfast we went sailing Yard sailing that is.

On to the hospital to visit Wayne, the Dr came in and told Wayne he could go home today if he could eat liquid lunch and it stay down. So around 4:00 this afternoon he got his walking papers. He will be on a liquid diet for the next two weeks and then see the Dr. He has lost 20 lb's and with a liquid diet he just might loose more. I can eat in front of him no problem since I eat mostly vegetables.

Kinda nice to have the old fart home........B

WAYNE REPORT

Wayne is doing some better today, after a CT scan and then a X-ray it was determined his digestive system is working it is just working slow. Tomorrow they will once again let him have clear broth several times a day to see how that works. Was relieved to here there were no blockage anywhere.

We all need to take a minute and say a little prayer for Wayne's nurses. He is being a hand full, has been telling anyone and everyone that will listen that it is cold and he wants a heater. A new nurse came in his room and asked if he needed anything and he said "yes I need a heater it is cold in here". She said she would see what she could do.......BINGO he got a heater put in his room. The nurse he was talking to was the Supervisor. Let that be a lesson to us all, if you want something whine, cry, beg, plead, and you just might get what you want.

One nurse was ready to kill him, she walked in and he was settling in his chair with a plastic bag over his face and his head tilted to the side. She yelled "OH MY GOD" rushed over to him......she was not happy. When I got there the first thing she said was "he is in big trouble" and then told me what he did.

I am keeping busy going out to breakfast and lunch with Judy, did go to Chico for some test and then had to go shopping while I was there. Hit the casino most days to turn in my gas receipt, it has to be at least $10. and they will put $10. on your club card to gamble with. Have been saving my money for when Wayne gets home and feels like gambling and then we can go crazy on there money. Today they said I had $165. on my card. It was such a successful promotion for May they are doing it again all of June.

That is it for now.......B

LIKE A KID LOOK IN A CANY STORE

Wayne has not had anything to eat since the 25th. On his walk today he took a little bit longer walk and went by the cafeteria. At this point even hospital food would taste good.
He must be feeling better because he is complaining about how cold it is in the hospital. He will complain to anyone and everyone that will listen, the Dr, Nurses, janitor, visitors, he is even trying to organize other patients.
He decided it was time to head back to his room since I would not let him eat at the cafeteria.
Wayne allows me 15 minutes and then he kicks me out. I guess I should feel honored that he allows me to visit at all. Tomorrow they will take the tube out of his stomach and see what happens. Hope he is home before much longer, I kinda miss the Old Fart. B

WAYNE IS UP BUT MOVING SLOWLY

Wayne is now able to move around the hospital now, he is still hooked up to a monitor so he has to drag that around with him so that makes him slow. Well that and the big slice in his belly. He is also behaving, wonder if the male nurse has anything to do with that???

He has his phone with him so he is able to check his emails. I am sure he will not write back on his phone but he will be able to read what you send.

Not much to tell you, it is finally warming up here in Corning, hit 80 today and yesterday. Sure feels good to me.

Target day for coming home is still Monday. Later B

LUNCH ON THE SACRAMENTO RIVER

Wednesday while Wayne was having surgery Rhonda and I went to lunch, that is what all good Daughters and Mommies do. We went to Riverside Bar and Grill in Red Bluff. The weather was perfect on the river sunny and warm. We both had Portabella mushroom sandwich but of course mine was without the bun. It was "ono" as my friend Linda would say. The waitress liked the looks of mine best without the bun.

Today Judy and I had lunch at Hometown Cafe, you can count on the food being good there all the time. I always see a lot of people I know so that is always fun.

The Dr think Wayne is doing good, at least that is what he told him yesterday morning. I visited him in the afternoon and he is looking good but still has tubes in his nose so he is not getting mush sleep. He said it hut like hell to cough, hope he dose not have one of his sneezing fits, because he never sneezes once it is more like 5-7 times. Wayne called this morning and said for me to not come to the hospital, he was in hopes the Dr would remove the tubes so he could get up and start walking. Wayne seems to think he will be able to come home Monday, I hope so because I know how it dislikes staying in a hospital.

I have been a good girl and going to the casino everyday with my gas ticket and having 10 dollars put on my card it is up to 30 dollar. I am saving it all up so when Wayne gets home and well enough to gamble we will have some free money to play with. Saturday I have a special card that I can win 10 to 100 dollars, it is an electronic wallet, that will be fun keep your fingers crossed it is the 100!!!

Will keep you updated on how Wayne is doing so check back........B

WAYNE UP DATE

Good Morning just a note to let you know thay Wayne had surgery yesterday, what should have taken 2 hours took over 4 hours. He is in a special unit, not ICU but a step down from that, is the way they explained it. He has better nurses there. They had to open him up to remove the gallblader and make some repairs from previous operations.

He is on the mend now and that is what counts, should be in the hospital 4-5 days......we will see! Nurse said he was doing good, when I told him what they said it was a surprise to him. Lot of pain medication and rest he will be good to go.

CHECKED ON ANOTHER BEATER CAR

Wayne found a Suzuki Vitara for sale in Paradise and wanted to check it out. Since we have nothing better to do we headed out to check it out. It was a 2001 and not in bad shape, we took it for a test drive and went back to deal. Wayne wanted to know if it would pass smog and so they told us where to have it check it on the Skyway. Well we made a wrong turn and ended up at Butte Collage. The gas tank was so low we put some gas in the tank, and a young lady headed for Paradise showed us the way.

By the time we got to the shop to check on smog it was to late and they could not do anything till Monday. Back to return the car and let the guy know what we found out. Come to find out another man was interested and would take the car "as is", so we headed back to Corning. The car was not really worth taking pictures of so instead of taking pix of the car I took pix of the gladiolas.

This post is dedicated to Louise since she checks my blog quite often, since I really did not have anything to say this was the best I could do. Judy thanks for tuning in too..B

MOTHERS DAY WEEK-END

Fun time was had by all starting with Rhonda, Bryce, Wayne and Me, went to Red Robbin for lunch, they had just opened in Woodland so of course they were packed. We hit it just right and was seated within 10 minutes. There was a lot of people waiting to be seated when we left. Timing is everything. Bryce's Travel League played at Mather, there game time was 6pm.....they got started closer to 7pm. I wimped out after 3 innings, it was cold, feels like I have not been warm so far this year. Come on Summer, where are you?

Sunday morning Rhonda, Jace Wayne and I met at Don's dinner for breakfast, since Rhonda and I planned on doing some shopping Wayne decided it was time to go to Cache Creek Casino. First we had to go by Rhonda's so Jace could once again show me how to update my iPhone. Jace I think I have got it now. As a matter of fact I have downloaded a couple more apps...also an update.

Look close at Gage, he is getting so big, but believe me he is still a puppy....have heard it is 2-5 years before they get out of the puppy stage. Hang in there Jace he should be out of the puppy stage by the time your getting ready to go to collage.

Shopped Trader Joe's, so I could look for gluten free stuff, yesterday I did find steel cute oats at the Wonder bread store. Anyhow found some pasta, not sure how that will taste, they do have a big variety of things. Look at the breads they had but decided I was doing fine without bread. The gluten free bread was so heavy it felt like a brick.

Grabbed a bite to eat at Pluto's in Davis and then it was time for Jace's band practice, this was the second time the group had played together and it sounded good to me. By the time we were done there it was time to go back to Woodland so we could had home before it got dark. You know how old folks are about driving after dark.

This week end was quite, we hit the casino and that is about it.

OMG HOW CUTE IS THIS

This picture was taken in 1949 or there about we were in the second grade. Bonnie Clough (Wick), Jane Ring (McClure) and Me. We were so cute.... of course typical me with my coat hanging of my shoulders. This was taken at Prairie Creek High School, all 12 grades were in the same school and we all three went there all 12 years. Not to many people can say that, even back then. Our playground was huge and much larger than what you can see. We can not figure out who took this picture or why someone would have a camera at school back then..... Thanks Jane for finding and sending this picture.

BIRTHDAY DINNER AGAIN

Dani turns 60 today and I am just a year or so older... We stopped by to visit Ralph and Dani and when Wayne found out that it was Dani's birthday he said he would treat her to dinner, she decided on Casa Romas, good call in my book. Food was quite good as always.

Fun having our pictures taken, I think they post the BD pix in the restaurant. We also got balloons with a prize inside, mine was a shot of tequila and Dani's was a dessert, the only catch you have to come back on Thursday for Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican celebration. Gave Dani my shot of tequila.

Where will dinner be tomorrow night? I am on a roll here.....B

OK LOUISE HERE IT IS

Yesterday was my birthday and it was a quite day with dinner at the Outback with Judy and Wayne. I had a filet with mixed veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. Wayne has had such a rough week we decided to stay home. Next week I get to celebrate my BD again also Mothers Day, guess you would call that a double hitter for me.

Think Wayne is finally on the mend, he seemed to have a reaction to the antibiotics they gave him. Today is a Little ornery so he must be feeling better.

That's all for now.........B
