This year the "Lettuce Days" was held at the Quartermaster Depot, where in the past it was in Old Town. It was OK at QD it was just different. I had a crab cake that was OK, two days in a row I have had crab cakes, had them at the Outback also on Thursday night. Both good, just different. Vender's selling there wares, and the of course the farmers showing off there produce. They had large farm equipment on display this year. We stayed long enough to walk around one time and then headed for the casino.
Today was the Celebration of life for one of our fellow cachers Larry Countryman or as us cachers called him lcpc28. Dreaded cancer took him all to soon. It was a nice turn out, as many non-cachers as cachers, which was nice to see.
It was a nice get together where lots of stories were told, everyone seemed to have a favorite lcpc story or cache to talk about. Robert and Char furnished the hot dogs and Buffalo burgers and everyone else brought salads and deserts. Oh so much good food, sure wish I could still eat like I did 30 years ago....
Tomorrow looks like breakfast and caching. Yummy & fun day ahead, will let you know all about it tomorrow. B
